How to Reset Your Autel Account Password?

If you've forgotten your Autel account password and need to reset it, follow the steps below. Let's go through a common scenario where a customer wants to update their scanner but has forgotten their account password. We strongly recommend that you perform these steps on your PC (not the Autel scanner).

Step 1: Visit the Autel Website

Start by logging in to https://pro.autel.com. On the login page, click on the "Forgot Password" link.

Step 2: Follow the Prompts

Enter the required information as prompted. You will be asked to request a 'verification code' to reset your password.

Common Issue: Verification Code Not Received or Fails

In some cases, you may encounter issues where the verification code is not received or, after entering the code, the password reset still fails.

Step 3: Contact an Authorized Autel Dealer

If you're unable to reset your password through the website, you can contact an authorized Autel dealer, such as via email at sales@diagmart.com. In your email, provide the following details:

  • Your Autel ID (e.g., xxxx@gmail.com)
  • The serial number (S/N) of your device (Ensure the S/N is accurate as it contains 12 characters. You can also send a picture of the back of the device for verification).

Note: Please ensure you use the email ID associated with the Autel account that needs resetting when reaching out to us.

Additional Step: Contacting Offline Dealers

If your device was purchased through an offline dealer, you will need to contact that dealer for assistance with resetting your password.

Step 4: Log in with Your New Password

Once the password reset is successfully processed, you will receive a new password. Use this to log in to your Autel account and proceed with updating your scanner or any other actions you need to perform.

By following these steps, you can effectively reset your Autel account password and regain access to your device and account.

What to Do If You Forget the Lock Screen Password on Your Autel Tablet?

First and foremost, we apologize as we are unable to reset the lock screen password for you. However, we can assist you with checking whether your device's lock screen password is stored in the cloud. All you need to do is send us the serial number (SN) of your tablet, and we can help you verify if the password has been uploaded.

If your password is not available in the cloud, unfortunately, the only option may be to perform a factory reset (flashing the device). Looking for the correct firmware package? Simply send your tablet’s SN to us at sales@diagmart.com, and we will send you the appropriate firmware package.

Important Note: Please be aware that after flashing your device, you may lose all downloaded vehicle diagnostic software (this applies to devices that are not within their subscription period). It’s highly recommended that your device is still within the subscription period before performing a flash. If your device is out of subscription, you might need to renew it in order to re-download software after flashing.
