Recently, a new Autel scanner has been released -- the Autel MS Elite II. You may get confused by some of these Autel products. Today I am gonna show you the difference between these three Autel diagnostic tablets.

Let’s start with the new release Autel Maxisys Elite II.

Autel MaxiSys Elite II integrates OE-Level all system diagnostic, Special service and ECU programming to one and allows you to control your car’s components, engine, sensors, and systems wirelessly; it is the most advanced scanner in the MaxiSys line of smart diagnostic tools and the upgraded version of Autel Elite. Using the additional OEM software, the Maxisys Elite II can be used as a Pass-Thru diagnostics tool as well, which allows users to read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and data log PIDS, collect sensor data and log generic OBDII data, etc.

Comparison Chart

Generally, the most obvious difference between these 3 diagnostic scanners are ECU coding and ECU programming. The Autel Elite and Elite II come with ECU coding and ECU programming while the Autel MK908 only has ECU coding. The difference between Elite and Elite II would be the amount of service functions.

You might think that ECU coding and ECU programming is the same thing but they are actually not. Coding is the process of translating and writing codes from one language to another, whereas programming is the process of building an executable program that can be used to carry out proper machine level outputs.
